From Learn-to-Skate to High Performance Development, Ridge Meadows Racers offers programs for skaters of all ages and abilities.

Speed skating is a unique sport with specialized equipment. All skaters use long blade skates—these classic skates increase stability and reduce resistance, resulting in faster speeds and a more comfortable experience on the ice.

Group 1&2: Beginners and Developing skaters - Tuesday 4:00-5:00pmGroup 1 is for skaters with a focus on fun and basic skills and stability that will instill a lifelong love of skating. Group 2 is based on learning to train and compete, with a focus on specialized skills and the racing techniques of speed skating. This is also a great level for youth cross training—many skaters in this group are active in multiple sports.

Group 3: Training skaters - Tuesday 5:30-6:30pm
This group focuses on competitive training, with race conditioning and a full spectrum of on and off ice programs. Skaters in Group 3 have the option of 1-2 days (per week) programs, as well as adding more training days with the use of sister interclubs. Group 3 skaters have the opportunity to compete at local Interclub competitions, as well as qualify for sanctioned provincial, regional and national meets.

Saturday Training 7:30-8:30am
