Welcome to the website of the Ridge Meadows Speed Skating Association (RMSSA), club for the Ridge Meadows Racers.

 

Ridge Meadows Racers brings the excitement of short track speed skating to the communities of Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows. Since 1979, the club has coached skaters of all ages—from beginner to advanced—to develop the skills and techniques in one of the fastest sports on ice. The primary training is focused on short track but we have skaters who train and compete at the long track venues.

 

Short Track Speed Skating is a popular sport—always one of the most popular for spectators at Winter Olympics—and highly competitive in many countries. For our club, there are competitions in the local community, as well as opportunities to compete at Provincial, Regional, National, and International levels.  

 

The Ridge Meadows Racers are coached by Donatelli-Green Coaching;  Eden (Donatelli) & Julian Green are past Olympians who developed a family-based coaching team bringing world calibre guidance, training and passion skaters both young and old. The Donatelli-Green Coaching  team also provides training for our sister clubs in Langley and Sardis.
